Position Overview
This position’s primary focus will be to act as the brand voice for our accounts- (meaning that you have to be very good at the written word! ) expand social media reach and implement social media marketing plans efficiently. The perfect candidate is extremely resourceful, has a ‘let’s get it done and we can improve by…’ attitude, and is ready to out in the extra mile when needed.
Core Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred
- Solid writing skills are an absolute must
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Knowledge of major social media platforms is required (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) …We’ll teach you everything else you need to know on social media marketing
- Creativity and an eye for design
- Technologically savvy
- Detailed oriented (in your subject line, let us know if you have any pets)
- Last but not least: friendly and great attitude kind of person
Bonus Points for Applicants With
- 2+ years of marketing or agency experience
- Digital marketing analytics experience (including, but not limited to, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, SEO, all Facebook campaign metrics)
- Social Media Management and Facebook Ad Account Management experience
- Knowledge of WordPress
Responsibilities:
Content creation
As the brand voice representative, your main role is to tell a story that is aligned with the brand’s values and communication strategy across social media platforms. This is where having great communication skills are a MUST!
How will you be doing this?
You will develop a content calendar for each brand with a continuous posting schedule. This includes the creation of content (editing of photos, videos or use of graphic design) and the repurposing of content (blog posts, articles, graphics e-newsletter).
Project Management
A larger part of this role involves project management both for clients and internally for our newly launched platform- Dentists Get social(DGS). You will be working with collaborators such as videographers, photographers and web developers, and you must ensure that all parties are able to meet deadlines and are briefed properly and to identify any dependencies in order to move a project forward in a timely manner.
How will you be doing this?
You will be making use of Asana on a daily basis to search for your list of tasks, and update each project. You will manage the scheduling and preparation of photoshoots, creation of shot lists, paid campaigns and manage all uploads to our DGS platform.
Community Management and social media growth
An important part of social media management is owning community engagement and monitoring of channels. This is part of online reputation management and linking social media to customer service.
How will you be doing this?
You will be monitoring social channels for comments, questions and complaints or negative feedback, as well as initiating discussion. This task requires you to be highly responsive and be ready to answer questions.
Community engagement normally drives social media growth, however you will be asked to develop strategies to grow social media platforms both in engagement and number of followers.
Paid campaign creation
As part of the overall social media marketing plan, you will be designing and managing online paid campaigns across social media channels.
How will you be doing this?
You will be designing the creative ads to be used as part of all paid campaigns, you will also be deciding which type of ad is better suited for the objective of each campaign.
You will also have to keep track of how much budget has been allocated per campaign using our Google Docs tracker, and reporting on the results of each campaign.
Analytics
You will be reporting and tracking on social analytics in order to suggest improvements and all actionable suggestions.
How will you be doing this?
We use software to track all metrics and you’ll be using our already created template to populate reports. However you will work closely with our Digital Marketing Strategist to identify opportunities to improve.
Research
Last but not least is researching the latest trends out there! We want you to become the best digital marketing strategist and share with the team on any strategies or tactics that can add value to our clients.

- You are an effective communicator. Having great writing skills and speaking both English and French
- You have a passion for social media marketing, and can visualize how the creative component behind a brand can serve greatly as a differentiator
- You are seeking out trends in graphic design, video, photography, e-newsletters etc that is working for leading brands and are able to apply these to our brand
- You have a visual eye, and creativity is a large part of what defines you.
- You are a doer, thinker and team-player
- You don’t settle for mediocre work!
