Position Overview

As our SMC, you will act as the brand voice for our accounts (meaning that you have to be very good at the written word!) as you work to reach social media KPIs and implement marketing campaigns across channels.

The SMC role is a full-time position. You will report to our Digital Marketing Strategist, Julia Shylo, while also working closely with Founder, Nathalia Porras.

Responsibilities

1) Content creation

As the brand voice representative, your main role is to tell a story that is aligned with the brand’s values and communication strategy across social media platforms. This is where having great communication skills are a must!

How will you be doing this?

You will develop a content calendar for each brand with a continuous posting schedule. This includes the creation of content (editing of photos, videos, or use of graphic design) and the repurposing of content (blog posts, articles, graphics e-newsletter).

2) Community management and social media growth

An integral facet of the role is driving engagement and the monitoring of social channels. This is part of our focus on strong online reputation management and linking social media to customer service.

How will you be doing this?

You will be monitoring social channels for comments, questions, and complaints, as well as initiating discussions. The Digital Marketing Strategist will support as needed. You will also be asked to develop strategies to grow social media platforms both in engagement and number of followers.

Note: while the SMC position is part-time, this responsibility typically requires 1.5 hrs per day and must be done daily (Monday-Friday), mostly in the am.

3) Paid campaign creation

As part of the overall social media marketing plan, you will be designing and managing online paid campaigns across social media channels.

How will you be doing this?

You will be designing the creative ads to be used as part of all paid campaigns, including deciding which type of ad is better suited for the objective of each campaign. You will also track budget and results and work to improve as necessary.

4) Analytics

In conjunction with our Digital Marketing Strategist, you will be reporting and tracking  social analytics to suggest improvements and new activities.

How will you be doing this?

Using a variety of software to track metrics, you will populate our report templates and work closely with our Digital Marketing Strategist to identify insights and action plans.

5) Research

Last, but not least, is researching the latest trends out there! We want you to become the best SMC in the world (we’re modest like that!) and share strategies and tactics that can add value to our clients.
